A studio form for people who want a room or a home designed.
Interior Designer Enquiry Form: Fields, Questions and Follow-Up
By LeadFormHub Editorial Team ·
Quick Answer
What should an interior designer enquiry form ask?
Ask for a name, a mobile number, an email, the rooms they want designed, and when they hope to start. City, property type, budget, and a link to the floor plan can share one note, because file upload is not available and each field type can be added once.
What a studio needs before it agrees to visit
A design enquiry decides whether the job matches the studio. Before anyone travels, you need who is writing, how to reach them, which rooms are in scope, and a rough timing. A budget band and a plan help the meeting. They should not block the form when the client does not have them yet.
Clients often write in the evening with a photo and a half-formed brief. Let them say not sure yet, and ask for a link rather than a file. There is no file field. Ask for email and mobile, and say in each label what it is for.
Questions that show the size of the job
Scope is the question that changes the reply. A kitchen is not a full home. Put the scope in the dropdown: full home, kitchen, bedroom, living room, or other. Put timing in the radio group: this month, this quarter, or just exploring. Include other and a not sure style option so a real brief is not rejected by the form.
Property type still matters: apartment, villa, office, or other. Budget is a range you set for your city, plus not sure yet. Do not publish it as a quote. Both go in the textarea with the city and the link, because the dropdown and the radio are already used.
- Scope. Full home, kitchen, bedroom, living room, other. The dropdown. This chooses the kind of reply.
- Timeline. This month, this quarter, just exploring. The radio group. This month is reviewed first.
- Property type. Apartment, villa, office, other. Asked in the textarea, or on the call if you want cleaner data.
- Budget. A low band, a middle band, a high band, and not sure yet. Set the bands for your city. Not a quote. Adjust to your market.
Where each answer goes when you only have one of each field
Tap a type to add it. Each type can be added once, and the arrows change the order. There is no template, and fields are not dragged. Name is text. Mobile is phone. Email is email. Scope is the dropdown. Timing is the radio group. City, property type, budget, and the plan link share the textarea.
City cannot be a second text field, so it sits with the budget note and the link. An empty box can still submit. Required is right for name, mobile, email, scope, and timing, and wrong for a plan the client may not have tonight.
| Field | Type | Required | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | Yes | Who sent the brief. |
| Mobile | Phone | Yes | For the visit and a short access question. |
| Yes | Drawings, the fee note, and the automatic reply. | ||
| Scope | Dropdown | Yes | Full home, kitchen, bedroom, living room, or other. |
| Timeline | Radio | Yes | This month, this quarter, or just exploring. |
| City, property, budget, plan link | Textarea | No | One text field is already the name. File upload is not available, so the plan is a link. Include not sure yet for budget. Adjust bands to your market. |
What the studio does with a new brief
Read the scope and the timing, then set a status, a note, and a follow-up date. Those are on every plan. A full home that says this month is a different next step from a bedroom that is just exploring. On Pro and Business an email alert and the Kanban board are available. The product will not rank the brief.
If the link fails, write that in the note with a follow-up date. Free is 3 forms and 50 leads a month. Pro and Business remove the monthly lead cap. Assignment needs a plan with team members. CSV and XLSX export work on every plan. Webhooks are Business only.
A reply the client can receive
On Pro and Business, a rule can email the lead when the form is submitted. This form collects an email, so the rule has an address. Paste the sample as the body. {{name}} comes from the name field. The message confirms the brief. It does not quote a fee or book a visit.
Send the rule on the new-lead trigger, with the action that emails the lead. Keep a second rule, or the separate email alert, if the studio inbox should also hear about it. Those are different messages. The client message is the sample below. The studio alert is the notification to the account, on Pro and Business.
Hi {{name}},
We have your note about the rooms you want designed. We will read the city and any link you sent before we suggest a conversation. If the link did not come through, reply to this email with it.
This message confirms the form arrived. It is not a fee proposal and it does not book a site visit.Checking the number and the inbox
Use email OTP when a fake inbox would waste a drawing, and SMS OTP for an India mobile number you will call. Email OTP works worldwide. SMS OTP does not. Both are off Free and share one monthly quota. Skip the code on a low-stakes download.
SMS OTP supports India mobile numbers; email OTP works worldwide. OTP is not on the free plan. Pro includes 100 verifications a month and Business includes 1000. Email and SMS codes share that quota.
Say why in the label. Email for the drawings and the reply. Mobile for the site visit. reCAPTCHA v3 can run as well. It is a bot check, not proof that the client controls the inbox. OTP is the check that does that.
Publishing the studio form
Add the fields, write the scope and timing options, and put city, property type, budget, and the link instruction in the textarea label. Move name, mobile, and email to the top with the arrows. Share the link or embed the iframe. Submit a test before you send the form to a client.
Read the test on a phone. Interior clients will not sit at a desk for this. If the textarea label is a paragraph, shorten it until the choices are still visible without scrolling past the button. Then check the stored source on the lead so the campaign link and the form agree.

Common questions
These answers cover the field limits, the missing template, and how verification and the reply behave on this form. The options above are a starting list. Adjust the names and the ranges to your own local market before you publish.
No. There is no file upload. Ask for a link in the textarea. If they have no link yet, they can still submit.
No. One dropdown and one radio group are available. Scope uses the dropdown and timing uses the radio. Budget stays in the textarea or on the call.
No. You add the fields by type and reorder them with the arrows. This page is the field list, not an installable form.
On Pro and Business, a rule can email the address on the lead. The sample on this page is the body you can paste. It does not send on the free plan.
Use it when you will call an India mobile number and a wrong number is costly. Email OTP works worldwide for the inbox. Both share one monthly quota and are off the free plan.
