Enter total leads, the leads you have confirmed as fake or invalid, and the ad spend for the same period. The fake lead rate, the valid-lead count, and the cost per valid lead update as you type.
Fake lead rate calculator
Fake lead rate: 35%. Valid leads: 130. Cost per valid lead: 154

What this calculator measures
This calculator measures the share of leads you have already confirmed as fake or invalid, and the cost of each lead that remains. You enter total leads, invalid leads, and ad spend for one period. It does not connect to an ad account. Unreviewed leads stay in the total, because a guess is not a confirmed fake.
A fake lead is a row you cannot reach, or a person who confirms they never submitted. A real person who is only browsing is a timing problem, not a fake. Count the fake only after a check, and write the reason in the lead note so the next person does not count it twice.
Spend is whatever currency you already use. The calculator does not convert it. Run one period at a time, and use the same dates for the lead export and the ad invoice.
The formula
Fake lead rate is invalid leads divided by total leads. Valid leads are total minus invalid. Cost per valid lead is ad spend divided by valid leads. If every lead is invalid, there is no cost per valid lead to show, because you would be dividing by zero. The rate can still be 100 percent.
An illustrative example, not a benchmark: 200 leads, 70 confirmed invalid, and 20,000 of spend. The fake lead rate is 35 percent, valid leads are 130, and cost per valid lead rounds to 154. Your campaigns will not match these figures.
How to read the result
A higher fake lead rate means more of the checked rows failed. Cost per valid lead rises when spend stays flat and valid leads fall. Split the same sums by campaign before you pause a whole account. One placement can produce the junk while another placement is worth keeping.
A low rate with a high cost per valid lead can mean the clicks are expensive, not that the form is full of junk. A high rate with a low cost per valid lead can still waste the team’s time. Read both numbers, then the notes on the leads you marked invalid.
LeadFormHub stores a note, a status, and a follow-up date on every plan. It does not import Meta spend, and it has no Meta integration. You type the spend from the ad account.
Three steps to cut junk leads
Cut junk by defining what counts as invalid, reading the rate by campaign, and proving the contact when a bad number is expensive. Format checks and reCAPTCHA v3 catch the obvious junk. OTP proves the person controls the email, or an India mobile number, and it is off the free plan.
Count only confirmed fakes. Mark a lead invalid after you have tried the contact or seen a clear mismatch, and put the reason in the note. Notes, status, and a follow-up date are on every plan. Silence after one attempt is not yet proof.
Split by campaign. Run the calculator once per campaign for the same dates. A single blended rate hides the ad set that is wasting spend. Meta changes its settings often, so check the current options in Ads Manager and Meta Business Help before you change targeting.
Verify the expensive forms. Use a required email or phone field, reCAPTCHA v3, and OTP where a bad contact costs a sales call. SMS OTP supports India mobile numbers; email OTP works worldwide. OTP is not on the free plan. Pro includes 100 verifications a month and Business includes 1000. There is no Meta connector that filters these leads for you.

These answers define a fake lead, explain why spend is in the formula, and state that the calculator is not connected to Meta. Type your own totals and split them by campaign before you change the account. The sample row is an example of the arithmetic.
A row you cannot reach, or a person who confirms they did not submit, after you have checked it. Unreviewed rows stay in the total.
So you can see cost per valid lead, not only the percentage of junk. Use your own currency. The calculator does not convert it.
No. Type the totals yourself. Meta changes its settings often, so check the current options in Ads Manager and Meta Business Help if you are changing the campaign.
Yes. Copy the snippet and keep the “Free calculator by LeadFormHub” link under the iframe. That link is the credit.
