What this calculator measures

This calculator places one lead on a 0 to 100 scale from five answers you pick: need, timeline, budget, authority, and fit. The weights are need 30, timeline 25, budget 20, authority 15, and fit 10. LeadFormHub does not score leads. You choose the answers here and you set the status on the lead yourself.

The questions match a manual reading of a form, not a model trained on your wins. A specific need, a near timeline, a budget that is in range, a decision maker, and a close fit score higher. Browsing, no budget, and a poor fit score lower.

Use it to decide who gets the first reply. It is not a prediction of revenue, and it is not a feature that runs when someone submits a LeadFormHub form.

The formula

Add the points for the answer you selected on each question. The highest path is 30 plus 25 plus 20 plus 15 plus 10, which is 100. Lower answers on the same question are worth fewer points, down to zero. The total updates as you change a field. Nothing is read from a submitted form.

Need can be 30, 15, or 0. Timeline can be 25, 12, or 0. Budget can be 20, 10, 5, or 0. Authority can be 15, 8, or 0. Fit can be 10, 5, or 0. Those are the only weights in this model.

How to read hot, warm, and cold

Hot is 70 or more. Warm is 40 to 69. Cold is below 40. Hot means follow up fast. Warm means follow up within a day. Cold means nurture, and do not spend a sales call yet. This is an illustrative model, tune with your own data. Another business can move the lines after it sees who actually buys.

A warm lead can still be the right call when the offer is simple. A hot lead can still be wrong when the note says the number failed. Read the tier next to the answers, not instead of them.

Put the score in the lead note if you want the team to see it later. The leads table will not calculate it, and exporting CSV or XLSX will not add a score column unless you type one.

Three steps to use the score

Use the score to decide who gets a fast reply. Ask one or two of these questions as a dropdown or radio, record a status and a follow-up date on the lead, and let an email alert tell you when a strong lead arrives if your plan includes alerts. The product will not apply these points for you.

  1. Ask closed questions. Map the factors you care about to dropdown or radio options, and include a not sure choice so people are not forced into a false answer. There is no conditional logic and no multi-step form, so keep the public form to one or two of these questions.
  2. Write the tier on the lead. The leads table has notes, a status, and a follow-up date on every plan. Put the score in the note and set the status yourself. Assignment to a teammate is on plans that include team members.
  3. Reply in tier order. Hot leads get the first reply. Warm leads get a same-day or next-day reply. Cold leads can wait. Email alerts and auto-reply are on Pro and Business. They are not on Free, and they do not contain this score unless you write it.
