What is form conversion rate?
By LeadFormHub Editorial Team ·
Form conversion rate is the share of form views that become a submission. Divide submissions by views for the same dates, then show it as a percentage. It answers how many people who saw the form finished it. It does not answer how many people who started typing then quit. That second question is form abandonment rate.
Why it matters
Teams use it when they can see views and submissions and cannot see starts. A drop after one edit tells you the edit hurt completion, and the rate is not a number to copy from another site.
Example
Illustrative example. A landing page records 200 views and 10 submissions in a week. Conversion is 10 ÷ 200, or 5 percent. Next week you remove one field and record 200 views and 14 submissions, or 7 percent. The change is yours to judge. Five percent is not a benchmark.
How to measure or apply it
Form conversion rate = submissions ÷ views. Keep the form, the offer, and the date range steady when you compare two windows. If another tool records starts, also calculate abandonment, because a view is not a start. Read both only when you truly have both counts. Change one field, then read the next equal window before you change anything else. Do not average a quiet week together with a launch week.
In LeadFormHub
On Pro and Business, analytics show views, submissions, conversion rate (submissions divided by views), submissions over time, and top forms. The free plan does not include that analytics view. The app does not record form starts.
